"Garden Gate" is an original watercolor painting 14 H x 22 W, with prints available in 11 H x 14 W. There is something serene about a picket fence & gate that seems to elicite fond memories for people. The stepping stones draw your eyes toward the gate, and your mind can't help but wonder what lies beyond it.
"Circus Life" is an original watercolor painting 14 W x 17 H, with prints slightly cropped to fit 11 W x 14 H. The painting inspired the poem "Circus Life" that draws analogies between a "normal" life, and a "circus" life, such as sometimes having to "wear a painted smile, to cover a hidden frown".
"Baseball Gear" is an original watercolor painting 14 W x 22 H, with prints slightly cropped to fit 11 W x 14 H. It was inspired by my 8 year old son who left his gear in the corner one day. There is something about an old leather glove, and wooden bat that people find very nostalgic. The painting inspired the poem "First Summer Love" about the five senses of baseball: sight, sound, feel, taste, and smell. For me, this painting captures the innocence of summer.
"American Waters" is an original watercolor painting 21 H x 28 W, with prints available in 11 H x 14 W. The painting was inspired by the historic victory of "Stars & Stripes" in the America's Cup race that the U.S. had struggled to win for years. I tried to creatively incorporate the U.S. flag into the background, which I did as the ocean's water.
