The Vault ©
Locked behind steel are the pains of my past.
Until the memories return and steel turns to glass.
Exposing the heartaches of an imperfect world.
And the myriad of nightmares my mind has unfurled.
There's so much to blame and many at fault.
I pray that the memories will go back in the vault.
Permanently sealing the bad ones away.
And losing the key so I can live for today.

White Ceiling ©
I lay and I gaze at a ceiling of white.
Never changing in color, but I stare like it might. As if an answer will magically appear. Solving my worries and all of my fears. I know the answers are not in the air.
So with no alternatives I'll just sit and stare.

Badges ©
A secret world is fully exposed When badges appear of purple and gold. Foolishly convinced they're something deserved, With each broken dream and shattered nerve. Stoically you stood as he handed them out, With each heavy blow and each angry shout. You've taken his hits, and he's left his signs. Now leave while you can, you've done your time.

Tangle of Lies ©
Like a deer in a tangle I lay in hiding, Never exposing myself to the hunters all vying
To take me down for their selfish gains. Discarding my carcass with all its remains.
For I'm tired of facing the daggers of liars. I'd rather endure the pain of the briars. In solitary confinement I'll just lay low. And stay in the tangle where liars won't go.

Reversible Mirrors ©
My life's like a fun house with reversible mirrors. Reflecting perfection while hiding the errors,
Of a life off track like a derailed train. Projecting a smile while hiding the pain.
When you try to look in you'll probably see A reflection of you, and not really me.
For reversible mirrors protect what's inside So you keep looking, and I'll continue to hide.
